_Over the past several decades there has been significant investment in women's literacy, education and skills development across the globe. There has also been growing awareness that investing in women may be the smartest solution to today's most pressing issues as women typically reinvest 80-90% of their incomes back into their families and communities. In many societies and cultures entrepreneurship is not part of the mindset and, in fact, is discouraged- particularly for women. Moyo Jasiri is building on existing investments by addressing, "How do literate women reach their full economic potential?" 

By creating role models and mentors Moyo Jasiri is building an ecosystem that is more tolerant of entrepreneurship generally and of women entrepreneurs specifically.  As a result, future generations of girls will grow up in a cohort of successful women entrepreneurs.

By targeting women in the 'missing middle' we are building a pathway to entrepreneurship that leads to self-employment first and to the employment of others next. By helping women create profitable businesses, we are providing a viable and efficient path to sustainable community development on a local and global level.
